With regard to Frequency Losses, Alfa was the first company to perform a detailed analysis - in Italy as well
as abroad - to understand the specific requirements of the insurance market. The result of this study, conducted
together with an important consulting company, has been used to define the strategic parameters to be used
in the management and processing of this type of loss. Consequently, a procedure and organization have been
designed for this purpose to ensure the Companies fast processing, a professional approach with the insured
parties and good value for the cost.
In 2000, the “Frequency Losses” project was started in a trial area. Following the successful results, the project was extended to the entire Alfa network, and from then on the settlement of small claims is fully proceduralized
and managed by a dedicated team within each branch office. Thanks to a specific software called Alfa Evolution,
we have standardized every phase of the surveying procedure and networked all the team members engaged in
the processing of an assignment. Thus Alfa guarantees the Companies average settlement times of less than 30
days along with the ability to manage high claim volumes.
