Today Alfa Loss Adjusters is a group of companies providing services to
Companies in the insurance/financial market. In particular, Alfa Holding
S.r.l. is responsible for the financial capital, Alfa S.p.A. is the operating
company responsible for traditional surveying work and services supplied
to the reference markets, while Octopus S.r.l. is in charge of the management
and development of new business.
In a sector still dominated by individual surveying offeces, occasionally in
the form of companies, Alfa has been the first Italian aggregation of insurance
surveyors. It began as Alfa S.r.l. in 1990, born thanks to the initiative
of a few individual professionals bound together by high professional regard
as well as close friendship. This partnership aimed to take advantage
of the different specializations of their individual offices and their geographic
distribution to improve the technical and consulting service offered to
Companies. At the time, and in some ways even still, this simple idea was
extremely innovative for the Italian market.
Since then, the history of Alfa has been a sequence of innovative choices and success:
1995
Alfa integrates 3 new partners and opens 4 new branch offices. Alfa confirms its strategy of grouping together prestigious
surveying offeces, often leaders in their relevant territories.
2001
Alfa consolidates its leadership in Italy by expanding the surveying services range and the geographic area coverage. In
order to globally manage the new organization and take advantage of new growth opportunities, a General Management
structure was created. The Partnership formula was created as a new strategy for territorial expansion and recruitment of
new prospective Shareholders.
2002
To increase growth even further and facilitate the entry of new Partners, it was decided to transform Alfa S.r.l. into Holding
and transfer all the operating activities to Alfa S.p.A., incorporated with a share capital of € 1.000.000,00.
2004
2 new partners enter Alfa S.p.A. and 3 new branch offices are started. After a careful strategic analysis involving experts in
the sector, Alfa created its Transport Division specialized in losses of the Goods and Carrier Liability, immediately ensuring
national coverage and 24-hour service availability.
2005
The Transport division extends to the Marine sectors (Shipping and Boating).
2006/2007
3 new Partner branches are started and a new I.T. platform is implemented for efficient and secure networking of the
various branch offices.
2008
3 new Partner branches, including the important Milan office, join the Alfa network. The development of our Company in
Central and Southern Italy starts.
